ABOUT BROKIN

“There are numerous reasons why African-American and Latino men don’t seek out help. Mainly distrust! Most qualified therapists are assumed to be Caucasian, Male, Elderly and alien to communities in which they come from. Strangers, who are incapable of understanding, nor embracing the complexities of their racially and socio-economically marginalized counter-parts. BroKin™ vows to change the paradigm and solve those extremely intricate issues.”

Who We Really Are

ABOUT BroKin™

As Men of Color, we have always been told since birth, “Life is hard and it’s NEVER, EVER going to be easy!” Sometimes, even the strongest amongst us needs a little bit of help to work through some of life’s more difficult challenges. Problem is, most Black and Latino men were raised in a chauvinistic, homophobic, dogmatic culture where being openly emotional or sensitive, discussing our fears and personal/family dysfunction was seen as being weak or soft. That type of mindset must change and must change now!

We work with clients who are feeling “STUCK” and inevitably struggle with demons of addiction, anxiety, depression, PTSD, suicidal ideation, compulsive behaviors, unsatisfying sexual and platonic relationships, and unfulfilling career paths.

Why We Do What We Do

OUR MISSION

Here at BroKin™, our goal is to help you become more transparent on where you are currently, so that you are able to acknowledge your pain, face your fear, heal and find the freedom to experience life in a new way by making new decisions, and finding fulfillment.

We believe EVERY man of color is worthy of living the life we are predestined for – Are you willing to take the journey and do the work that it takes to get you to your final destination?

A Lifelong Affirmation to Motivate and Inspire Others

OUR MANTRA

We believe that a culturally sensitive, solution-centered approach works best and that with you in the driver’s seat on this journey, we can focus on your goals each session and address the challenges that you feel are most important. Choosing to pursue therapy is an INCREDIBLE step in the right direction and a life altering decision. Please ensure that you are making the most informed choice in which you allow to accompany you on this journey. Let us help you pave the way to a better, healthier and more satisfying lifestyle!
