“TO BECOME WHOLE AGAIN, YOU MUST FIRST ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE BROKEN!”

I am a Texas based, Howard University and University of London – Kings College trained psychologist, specializing in mental health wellness and solutions for Black and Latino males ages 18 and beyond. As a Los Angeles, CA native, my therapeutic approach is strength-based meaning, I learn about my clients’ strengths and positive attributes, then guide my clients in applying their strengths in areas of their lives where they are struggling the most. What sets me apart from other therapists is, I use more than just the skills I’ve learned from my academic training to assist you. As a survivor of childhood emotional and mental abuse, coupled  with Environmental PTSD, my past experiences mirror a majority of my clients and provides me a greater understanding and insight into your story. I get to know YOU and listen to what my intuition tells me about you and your situation to help free you from the confines of your personal restraint.

During our time together, you will learn skills and techniques that you can continue to apply in your life well after our time has been spent. You can look at it as a lifetime investment to yourself. My areas of expertise include working with people who…

  • struggle with low self-esteem
  • have co-occurring disorders (substance dependency and mental/emotional issues)
  • have experienced Cultural PTSD
  • are stuck in unhappy or unhealthy relationships
  • are depressed or chronically sad
  • are anxious and afraid
  • have co-dependent behaviors
  • have experienced depression due to loss or change in career
  • have experienced a traumatic situation
  • have been experienced childhood sexual or physical abuse
  • have Suicidal Ideation/Suicidal Thoughts

I hold academic degrees from California State University, Long Beach (B.A Black Studies & M.A., Educational Psychology with emphasis in Social & Multi-Cultural Perspectives) Howard University and University of London-Kings College trainee psychologist. I have 18 years of experience in a broad array of settings, including Education, Psychology, and Adult Mental Health Case Management. Also, as founder of Beautiful Minds, Inc. – Advocacy & Special Needs Solutions as Psychologist and Special Needs Advocate, I garnered additional community mental health, non-profit agencies, public and non-public schools, private practice, experience.
